Kaštela is a city in Croatia located in the district of Split. Under the name of ''Kaštela'' there are all together seven connected settlements between the cities of Solin and Trogir. During history, the main activities of the locals were fishing and agriculture. Thanks to a fruitful ground, the city has always been, and stil is, one of Croatia's main producers of vine, cherries, salad and tomatoes. Today, next to olive growing and fishing, the main activity is tourism. Mediterranean climate, rich cultural-historical heritage, natural beauties and vicinity of bigger tourist centers, such as cities of Split and Trogir, are the conditions that keep bringing more and more tourists. Right after the city of Split, Kaštela is the second largest city in the district, with over 35 000 inhabitants.
